Morris County Man, 58, Seriously Injured In Rt. 80 Crash With Tractor-Trailer [Update]

A Morris County man was hospitalized with serious injuries after crashing into the back of a disabled tractor-trailer on Route 80, state police confirmed.

Michael D. Todd, 58, was behind the wheel of a Chevrolet passenger car when he entered the right shoulder of Route 80 eastbound and struck the back of the disabled tractor-trailer near 13.8 in Frelinghuysen Township just before 5:30 a.m. Thursday, NJSP Sgt. Alejandro Goez told Daily Voice.

Todd, of Budd Lake, was taken via ambulance to Morristown Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, Goez said.

The crash remains under investigation, police said.
